Undone, 2006
Unraveled sweater and wooden cabinet, 54(h)x34(w)x12(d) in.
Undone consists of discarded clothing, unraveled and picked apart, then reassembled into balls of yarn. Each ball is labeled according to its former identity – “Tim’s gloves”, “Mama’s fat sweater vest”, “The blanket grandma made for baby”.  Nostalgia pervades as the viewer must rely upon empathetic memories to imagine the original forms of clothing.
