The Kent Scientific Institute studies the transience of time through the eyes
of an institution. The three-part installation represents the methods
of research employed by the founding contributors of the Grand Rapids
Public Museum. More than a vignette, it is a ghost of museum display
itself. Through this work I invite the viewer to reflect upon their own
anachronistic relationship with the collection.
